Hard to believe but this song qualifies as an oldie but goodie. Yes, it has been around for a long time. And I am surprised that I have not posted it before.
It was first heard on Aerosmith’s debut album back in 1973 which means that it has been around for over 50 years! That’s right, over 50 years.
Seven Tyler wrote it when he was just 17 or 18 years old. He wrote it about the dreams he had of being a rock star as he would listen to his father play classical piano. Crazy.
As a testament to its staying power and to its ability to connect with an audience, the song has been streamed well over a billion times. A billion is an exceptionally large number.
It appeared as # 172 on Rollings Stone’s Top 500 greatest hits list. And when you consider all the songs that could have been listed, 172 is pretty pretty good.
Ok, you get the message.
I have intentionally posted the song with just the words being posted. Sweet message.
Dream On.
