This month features not one but two songs by Hot Club Of Cowtown.
I came across their rendition of Someone To Watch Over Me and was taken in by the sincerity with which this song is presented (this tune has been covered by a lot of people). This month I also liked the idea of someone watching over me, you, and all of us.
A jazz, western swing sound distinguishes this trio which has been together for about 25 years. They continue to perform and have a very loyal following as they keep the western swing sound alive and well while incorporating the smooth tones of jazz,
After listening to and watching the video, another video came on by the trio which is totally instrumental, and which is absolutely amazing. I just could not post a piece by the group without including this second video, Dark Eyes because I believe it truly represents their talents. It is just so captivating to watch how they can play. What talent!
They get lost in the music and what comes out is just incredible. Enjoy,
