The Traveling Wilburys
What a super group: George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne, and Bob Dylan.
The group was the idea of George Harrison who as he described wanted to make music with some of his mates. Commercially successful their first album won a Grammy in 1990 for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group.
The song “End Of The Line” is just a gem. The lyrics are meaningful. I really believe there is much wisdom in what they are singing. The music/melody for me has a sort of haunting feel which melds well with the lyrics. These guys knew what they were doing. Of particular interest in the video is the shot of a guitar sitting on a chair – Roy Orbison’s guitar. He passed away from a heart attack prior to the video being made but is remembered thusly.
Enjoy the song/lyrics. We are all headed to the end of the line.
